Arsene Wenger brought us the team news ahead of our tie against West Bromich Albion this weekend and it’s looking largely unchanged.

As is the norm with players who come to Arsenal, a small knock or ‘niggle‘, which is predicted to have them sidelined for a single game, can turn into weeks out. This seems to have happened to Danny Welbeck who is still out ahead of our final Premier League match of the season.

Although the forward is out for the Arsenal game, the boss pointed out that he could be available for the England match in June. However, it’s still unclear whether he’ll be available for the FA Cup final.

The Arsenal manager added, “If he is not available for the FA Cup final then I can’t see him being available for England.”

On the other hand, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in full training and could apparently be available for the FA Cup final. To have an option like the Ox available for a cup final will be a huge boost.

The boss wanted to mention that Oxlade-Chamberlain’s lack of call up for international duty was nothing to do with him and was simply down to hardly having any playing time recently due to injury.

Wenger also said that defender Mathieu Debuchy will bea bit short’. Before adding, “I will certainly rest one or two players on Sunday, but the most important thing is to win.”
