Lucas Perez has reportedly handed in a formal transfer request just hours after Arsene Wenger confirmed that the forward would be leaving Arsenal this summer, just one year after he signed from Deportivo.

Charlie Nicholas has said that Arsenal must follow Chelsea’s example and reduce their squad size. 

Lucas Perez’s agent has said there is plenty of interest in the forward from all around Europe.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Lucas Perez will be leaving the club, admitting the increased competition in attack means he can’t promise the Spaniard game time.

Arsene Wenger has reportedly apologised to Lucas Perez for giving away his shirt number without consulting him.

Lucas Perez would be willing to join Newcastle should they make an offer.
