So, after losing 4-3 at home to Liverpool, did anyone predict that by the middle of October, Arsenal would have won nine games out of the next ten, and that Mesut Özil would have SIX times as many goals as he has assists in the Premier League and Champions League this season?
There are three things that always occur at this time of year in the world of football; International fixtures suck the life out of everyone, illuminous yellow balls are used in games for no good reason whatsoever, and reports start emanating from Barcelona that state that they’re interested in signing an Arsenal player. Again.
With the international break about to burst into full bloom, it’s a good time to look back at what Arsenal have done so far this season in order to gauge how well they’re performing but what stands out at the moment isn’t what has happened, but what hasn’t.
