There should be some movement in Aaron Ramsdale’s transfer situation soon, with various clubs shortlisting the Arsenal goalkeeper.

Fabrizio Romano writes that he expects something to happen soon for Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, with the England international on the shortlists of multiple clubs.

Arsenal reportedly want a permanent transfer if Ramsdale goes, and they’re preparing to move for Joan Garcia if that happens.

David Ornstein recently reported that Arsenal had turned down an approach from Ajax for an initial loan move for Ramsdale. The offer reportedly didn’t suit the Gunners, though Ornstein added that Ajax remained interested and optimistic.

Ramsdale has also been linked with some Premier League clubs this summer, but none of them seem to have made a concrete move.

Alex Crook reported for talkSPORT in early August that the goalkeeper is high on the shortlists of Wolves, Nottingham Forest, and Southampton.

Yet the general suggestion in the cases of those three clubs is that they’re hoping to secure a loan move, perhaps waiting until the end of the window to put pressure on Arsenal to agree to those terms.

Ramsdale is yet to feature for Arsenal since returning from England duty, with David Raya playing both pre-season friendlies upon their returns and then starting the opening game against Wolves.

Raya put in a very strong performance against Wolves, making a couple of great saves and playing out from the back effectively as usual. It doesn’t look like Mikel Arteta is set to change his thinking on the number-one spot at the club.
