Martin Odegaard answered questions on Arsenal’s position in the title race after hitting 50 combined goals and assists for his current club on Sunday.
Arsenal’s 6-0 thrashing of West Ham United on Sunday was somewhat of a showcase for star midfielder Martin Odegaard, with the Norwegian international putting in a fantastic creative display.
Odegaard completed over 100 passes with a pass accuracy of 95%, he created seven chances including two big chances, and those opportunities led to two assists.
On the physical side, Odegaard pressed with his usual enthusiasm, and he won all of his individual duels, as well as completing the only take-on he attempted.
Odegaard’s two assists brought him to a total of 50 goals and assists in his three years with Arsenal.

Squawka report that Odegaard also became the first player in Europe’s top seven leagues to create 50+ chances from open play this season.
Thanks in part to Odegaard’s goals and assists, Arsenal are back in another title race this season, but the player says the team are just focusing on their own performances.
“We’re focusing on ourselves and and what we do every day and we don’t care too much about the other teams,” Odegaard said.
“We focus on ourselves we keep working hard and yeah good win and we move on.”
