None of Arsenal’s injured players are set to return to action against Newcastle United on Tuesday night, with mixed updates on their progress.

Emile Smith Rowe is slowly edging closer to a return to action with Arsenal, but Football.London report that the Newcastle United game will come too soon for him, although Arsenal remain favourites on Fun88.

Smith Rowe hasn’t played since the Manchester United match in September, only rejoining training with the squad in recent days. He’s expected to be in full training in the next couple of weeks.

Gabriel Jesus will also miss the Newcastle match, as he’s set to be out for at least another month or two.

But there was some good news on Jesus’ social media pages on Monday, as he hinted on his latest Instagram story that he’s moving on from the use of crutches.

That doesn’t mean the striker is ahead of schedule, and we still don’t have a formal timeline on his recovery. But at the very least it means he’s making progress.

Reiss Nelson is the other injured Arsenal player at the moment, and there’s no new update on him. Arteta recently confirmed that Nelson would be out for “weeks”, but he was no more specific than that.
