Mikel Arteta is apparently the second moaniest manager in the Premier League with Thomas Tuchel topping list with the moan master, Jurgen Klopp, only coming in 12th.

Jurgen Klopp loves to moan.

He moans about everything. From the state of the pitch to the strength of the wind blowing that day, there is little that’s safe when he’s on the hunt for an excuse.

Mikel Arteta also moans a bit but, as something of a moaning expert by virtue of being a moany sod myself, Arteta doesn’t strike me as being that bad, at least not when compared to others in the division.

Still, The S*n have extrapolated, using data compiled by The Athletic, that Arteta is second only to the Chelsea manager, who raised ‘mitigating factors’ in 11 of his 18 interviews (57.9%).

Arteta came in behind him at 55.5% with refereeing decisions top of his list of complaints after the Manchester City, Crystal Palace and Tottenham games.

Given the decisions that have went against Arteta’s Arsenal, I’m honestly surprised it’s not higher.
