GFFN report that the French Football Federation have decided to hand on-loan Arsenal defender William Saliba a one-month suspended ban from national team activities.

As it’s only a suspended ban at this stage, it will only become active if he receives a further ban in future.

For example, if the FFF ban him for another month for a further transgression down the line, the suspended ban would be added to that and he’d spend two months out.

The ban is for a video Saliba reportedly posted to his Snapchat when he was 16, showing explicit images of French youth teammate Ulrick Eneme Ella. The Brighton u23 youngster has been handed a three-month ban, with one of those suspended.

Fortunately for Saliba, the decision doesn’t affect his club availability, so he can continue playing matches for OGC Nice as planned. They face Montpellier up next on Sunday at 12:00 BST.
