David Ospina is known for one main thing – always managing to get injured and, against Atalanta, he was again stretchered off with what seemed to be a serious head injury.
Napoli lost the game 2-0 and Ospina picked up his injury when he collided with both his own teammate, Fabian Ruiz, and opponent Mattia Caldara after making a decent save.
Bleeding from the cut on his forehead, the injury looked like it could be yet another serious one for Ospina’s noggin, but Napoli have confirmed it was merely a minor injury.
Of course, we all know that Ospina loves to exaggerate injuries but in this instance Napoli were wise to be cautious. In football, we don’t take head injuries seriously enough and that is causing problems.

“The checks carried out on Ospina, after yesterday’s incident, have been successful. The goalkeeper will spend a few days off, “says the statement from Napoli.
He is expected to be fit to face Barcelona in the Champions League that is due to take place at the start of August.
In March, 2019, Ospina collapsed and had to be rushed to hospital after being allowed to remain on the pitch despite picking up a nasty head injury.
