Holding and Bellerin both played their first competitive senior minutes since their respective ACL injuries on Tuesday, with the former completing the full 90 minutes and scoring whilst the latter came on as a substitute to provide an assist.

Arsenal fans certainly enjoyed the night, as did the players and their teammates. They weren’t the only ones watching though, with a few former Gunners reaching out to support their old colleagues.

Monreal posted on Instagram to congratulate the pair, with a heartwarming message about how they deserve the best.

Ramsey and Fabregas both sent messages to Bellerin on Instagram. Bellerin and Fabregas didn’t have much crossover at Arsenal, but they know each other from the Spanish national team setup.

It’s great to see the pair remaining such popular figures even with people who have left the club. It shows how easy they are to get along with and suggests they can have a positive impact on the current squad too.
