UPDATE: Arsenal have confirmed Nacho’s move to Real Sociedad

Nacho Monreal has reportedly completed his move to Real Sociedad and will not face Tottenham on Sunday although he will be at the Emirates to say goodbye to everyone.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo who claim the 33-year-old will sign for €250,000, paid in installments.

The Spanish publication claim the deal will be ‘formalised’ today (Saturday) after a week of intense negotiations.

Nacho has agreed a deal with Real Sociedad until the end of the season in 2022 when he will be 36.

It had been reported that Real Sociedad wanted to finalise the transfer so that he would be available to play on Friday night in the Basque derby against Athletic Bilbo. That obviously didn’t happen.

Real Sociedad lost 2-0.
