Reports this week suggested William Saliba could be back in action in November, but sources close to the player have given a slightly less optimistic timeline.

Reports from France this week suggested that Arsenal centre-back William Saliba is back running again, with a recent x-ray confirming that his recovery is on track.
According to those claims, Saliba is desperate to start playing matches again, and he’s on schedule for a return in November.
But that timeline may prove overly-optimistic, with other reports in the English media this week giving a longer timeframe for the French international’s absence.

Ryan Taylor confirms for Football.London that Saliba is indeed back running, albeit in moderation, having undergone the majority of his injury rehabilitation so far at Arsenal’s Sobha Realty Training Centre.
Yet Taylor adds that sources close to Saliba’s camp are still suggesting a December return, despite “unfounded whispers” that the player could be back in November.

The difference between a November and December return is a fairly significant one, with Arsenal playing Newcastle United (A, Nov. 21st), Borussia Dortmund (H, Nov. 24th), and Manchester City (H, Nov. 29th) in consecutive fixtures at the end of the month.
If Saliba isn’t back for those games, the December fixtures against Spurs (A, Dec. 5th), Real Madrid (H, Dec. 9th), and Manchester United (H, Dec. 19th) are the big ones to keep an eye on.
