Arsenal have reached an agreement with Club Brugge for the signing of Christos Tzolis, with the winger to join as a replacement for Leandro Trossard.

David Ornstein reports for The Athletic that Arsenal have reached a €40m (£33.9m) agreement with Club Brugge for the signing of Christos Tzolis, and the Gunners are now in the process of finalising a move for the player.
Ornstein reiterates that the move is viewed as separate to Arsenal’s pursuit of Morgan Rogers, with the Gunners seemingly looking to make two wide signings this summer.
The signing of Tzolis would be Arsenal’s second of the summer, following Illan Meslier’s free transfer move from Leeds United.

Reports earlier this week had indicated that Arsenal were set to open club-to-club talks over Tzolis’ transfer, and it seems they’ve swiftly reached a conclusion.
Fabrizio Romano had reported that Tzolis is only interested in Arsenal, turning down approaches from other clubs. Romano claimed Tzolis has given his assent to a verbal proposal on personal terms, so it was up to the Gunners to decide whether to progress their interest.
That has now happened, with Arsenal reportedly viewing Tzolis as the ideal candidate to replace Leandro Trossard. Trossard completed a €20m move to Besiktas earlier this week.

Tzolis admitted earlier this year that he’d like to join Arsenal, telling the media: “My future club? Haha, I don’t know! I hope that they (Arsenal) come for me. But honestly, I don’t know. If Arsenal come, it would be a privilege for every player to play for [them].”
The 24-year-old had an excellent season with Club Brugge in 2025/26, scoring 17 goals and assisting 23 in league football alone.
In all competitions, he racked up 51 goal contributions in 52 games, including five goal contributions in Champions League qualifiers and a further three in the competition proper.
