Arsenal haven’t made a formal offer for Nathaniel Brown, and the player is now committed to joining Bayern Munich, according to a report.

Seb Stafford-Bloor reports for The Athletic that whilst Arsenal do hold an interest in Nathaniel Brown, the Gunners have never made a formal offer for the Eintracht Frankfurt left-back.
At this point, the report suggests Brown is committed to joining Bayern Munich, having himself been born in Bavaria. The player is set to wait for Bayern to reach an agreement with Frankfurt, seemingly ruling Arsenal out of the race this summer.

Arsenal’s pursuit of Brown didn’t look quite as urgent at this point anyway, with Real Madrid’s attempts to sign Riccardo Calafiori seemingly failing.
Real Madrid ended up doing a deal with Chelsea for Marc Cucurella, and the club are now very well stocked at left-back, with Alvaro Carreras, Fran Garcia, and Ferland Mendy also still in the squad.
In fact, the suggestion now is that the Spanish club are more likely to sell a left-back than buy one, with Garcia the favourite to depart.

With Calafiori seemingly set to stay, Piero Hincapie joining on a permanent deal from Bayer Leverkusen, and Myles Lewis-Skelly also available as an option on the left, Arsenal don’t have a pressing need to sign another left-back.
There had been some suggestions the Gunners might do so anyway, allowing Hincapie or Calafiori to play at centre-back as a backup to Gabriel Magalhaes. But even if that’s the case, it seems it won’t be Brown making the move to north London.
