Max Dowman became the youngest Premier League winner in history on Tuesday night, and the teenager is guaranteed to receive a winner’s medal.

The Guinness World Records have confirmed that Max Dowman has achieved a new record as the youngest football player to win the Premier League. The midfielder will be 16 years and 144 days at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Dowman is already guaranteed to receive a winner’s medal, as Premier League guidelines mandate that every player to make five or more appearances must receive one of the 40 medals on offer.
Dowman has made exactly five so far, though he may now find himself earning a sixth at the weekend given the pressure is off against Crystal Palace.

The teenager wasn’t just there for the ride either, winning a penalty for a goal against Leeds United in August, and scoring a memorable goal against Everton in March.
It’s been a fantastic campaign for the youngster, who also scored six goals in his five rare appearances for the Arsenal youth teams in 2025/26.
Dowman made his Champions League debut in November, and he played twice in the quarter-final tie against Sporting CP. In all likelihood, he’ll be heading to Budapest next weekend.
All this in spite of a three-month ankle injury ruling him out over the festive period.

There should be more to come next season, with Dowman a year older with the benefit of all the experiences he’s gained over the previous 12 months.
Those experiences will include lifting the Premier League trophy this weekend, and perhaps more at the end of the month.
