Arsenal have scouted a few young players ahead of the January transfer window, with Andrea Berta on the lookout for opportunities to sign future talents.

Sky Sports News report that Arsenal are understood to have scouted Elche’s Rodrigo Mendoza, AC Milan’s Davide Bartesaghi, and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Jean-Matteo Bahoya ahead of the January transfer window, with the club on the lookout for young players with potential.
Isaan Khan confirms for the Daily Mail that Andrea Berta is looking for more opportunities to sign talented young players in January, having recently agreed deals to bring in Victor Ozhianvuna and Ecuadorian twins Edwin and Holger Quintero when they turn 18 (in January and August 2027).

On the three named youngsters, Mendoza is a midfielder with a €20m release clause in his contract. He’s made 15 appearances for Elche so far this season, including eight starts.
Arsenal would likely face competition for the 20-year-old’s signing, with Real Madrid among his admirers in Spain, and interest from some of the biggest teams in Italy.
Sam Dean recently reported for The Telegraph that Arsenal’s recruitment team have been tracking the progress of the player, though a summer move appears more likely than a January transfer.

Bartesaghi is a 20-year-old left-back playing for AC Milan, largely operating as a wing-back this season. The youngster has made 14 appearances including 10 starts, scoring two goals and assisting one from his wide role.
Then Bahoya is another probably more likely to move in the summer, with Frankfurt reportedly looking for up to €70m (£61.1m) to sell. The 20-year-old left-winger has three goals and an assist in his 22 games (11 starts) this season, and a contract lasting until 2029.
