I always loved visiting training grounds as a football fan. It’s generally a great opportunity to catch a glimpse of the players in a more intimate setting, snap a quick photo, or just experience part of the club’s day-to-day operations. If you’re heading to London and support the Gunners, you might also be wondering whether you can visit Arsenal’s training ground as a fan.
During my first visit to the training grounds of Arsenal, I saw supporters waiting outside the gates. While there’s no guarantee, a few players occasionally stop for autographs or quick photos on their way in or out. It’s a bit of a hit or miss, but if you’re patient enough, you might have a memorable encounter with one of your favourite players.
Is it possible to visit the Arsenal training ground as a fan?

No, you can’t visit the Arsenal training ground as a fan because the location in London Colney isn’t open to the general public. This means that you can’t enter Arsenal’s training ground and watch players during a training session.
However, there are a few rare exceptions, and also some ways for fans to meet Arsenal players.
- Attending occasional open training sessions: Arsenal can host open training sessions on rare occasions. These can be for club members, through special promotions, or simply be open to the public. These are usually held at the Emirates Stadium rather than London Colney.
- Waiting outside the training ground: Some fans wait outside the gates at London Colney in hopes of catching players as they arrive or leave. A few players do stop for autographs or photos from time to time, but it’s not a guarantee. Your chances of spotting a player are probably better than England’s World Cup odds on UK betting apps, though.
- Checking out team gatherings on matchdays: The Arsenal squad often gathers at the Hilton London Angel Islington before home matches. While access to the hotel and its grounds is limited to guests and invited individuals, some fans have reported player sightings in the area.
- Attend a Hero Experience: Arsenal offers a package that includes VIP matchday hospitality and a meeting with a first-team player. This includes premium seating at a match, photos with players, and a signed jersey.
