Arsenal have registered their interest in Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike, but he’s not their priority target this summer as things stand.

Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport Germany reports that Arsenal have registered their interest in Hugo Ekitike of Eintracht Frankfurt, but Alexander Isak remains the club’s number-one target.
Frankfurt expect Ekitike to leave this summer, with the club demanding €80m (£66.9m) for a transfer, but Arsenal’s focus elsewhere could see others taking the lead.
Plettenberg claims Manchester United are seriously considering a summer move, and Liverpool and Juventus have also registered their interest.

The Sky journalist isn’t the first to claim Arsenal are interested in Ekitike, with Bild recently reporting that the Gunners are particularly hot on his case.
As with Plettenberg’s report, Bild claim Frankfurt expect a summer departure. They add that Liverpool and Manchester United are also in the mix, as well as Newcastle United.
The 22-year-old played for the France u21s over the international break, and he scored a hat-trick against the England u21s in their opening March fixture. That’s certainly likely to have drawn some more attention from the Premier League clubs.

This isn’t even the first season in which Arsenal have been linked with Ekitike, with the Gunners also reportedly eyeing up a move when the u21 France international was still with Stade Reims in 2022.
Ekitike moved from Reims to PSG that summer, before joining Frankfurt in 2024. A year later, he could be on the move again.
He has scored 19 goals, with eight assists, this season in 39 games.
