Arsenal target Matheus Cunha has confirmed he is ready to leave Wolves this summer, becoming the second striker on the club’s shortlist to indicate his willingness to move, after it was reported that Benjamin Sesko is also open to a Premier League switch.

Arsenal are expected to make significant moves in the next transfer window, with plans to sign a striker, a left-sided forward and a midfielder already well underway.
Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi is expected to join in a £51 million deal, and the club are also likely to return for Joan Garcia, who turned down a move to north London last summer.

Several central defenders are also being monitored.
With the recent arrival of Andrea Berta as sporting director, there is confidence within the club that his vast experience and network can help deliver elite-level reinforcements.
As Mikel Arteta put it, “He was so willing to join us, which is a very positive thing as well because he had many other possibilities, and he’s chosen to come to us.”

Both Cunha and Sesko fit the profile Arsenal are looking for: mobile, multi-functional forwards with room to develop.
Cunha, who has 15 goals and four assists for Wolves this season and has spoken openly about his desire to fight “for titles, for big things,” turned down offers in January, including one from Arsenal, out of loyalty to his current club. But his stance has shifted.
“I’ve made it clear that I need to take the next step,” Cunha said. “I want to fight for titles, for big things. I have potential.”
Sesko, meanwhile, is expected to leave RB Leipzig this summer if the right offer arrives.

A reported handshake agreement would see the Bundesliga side consider bids starting at €70 million (£58.5m), and Arsenal are understood to be firmly in the race, though Manchester United, Bayern Munich and AC Milan are also interested. Sesko has 17 goals and six assists this season in 37 games compared to Cunha’s 29.
Berta’s presence at the centre of this strategic rebuild is expected to accelerate negotiations as Arsenal look to assemble a squad capable of sustaining domestic and European contention.
As Arteta noted, Berta brings a winning mentality and a track record of elite recruitment, describing him as “very honest, very straightforward, with a very clear vision of what he wants to do.”
That vision appears to be taking shape. With Zubimendi close, Garcia still on the radar, and both Cunha and Sesko indicating readiness for a new challenge, Arsenal‘s summer business is gathering pace.
