Arsenal are interested in signing Marcus Thuram from Inter Milan, according to a report in the Italian media, but Inter don’t want to sell mid-season.

Italian outlet TvPlay claim Arsenal’s “big dream” is to sign Marcus Thuram, suggesting the player’s characteristics make him perfect for the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta reportedly wants to bring Thuram to the Premier League immediately, given his side’s struggles with recent injuries.
The same outlet claims Inter would never consider a sale in the January transfer window, but that could change in June. The Serie A club would be open to a sale in the region of €70m (£59.2m), which would give them a significant capital gain.
Inter signed Thuram on a free transfer, so his sale would represent pure profit whenever he goes.

Thuram has scored 14 goals and assisted a further six for Inter this season, making 26 appearances for the side.
The Italian team are having a very strong campaign, sitting three points off the top of the Serie A table with a game in hand and far superior goal difference to league leaders Napoli, as well as occupying a coveted spot in the top-eight in the Champions League.
On top of that, Inter are into the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia, so there’s plenty still to play for right now.

Thuram has somewhat of an Arsenal connection through his friendship with club legend Thierry Henry. Speaking after Inter won the Serie A title last season, the forward revealed he’s received a lot of help from the former Gunner.
“Today, really I’d like to thank my parents, and I’d like to thank Thierry Henry!” Thuram said. “Maybe he’s going to see this.
“[I’d like to thank him] for all the advice he gave me, and I hope this is only the start.
“He’s like my best uncle, he’s the uncle that’s here for me, to help me in good moments and bad moments. He always tells me the truth, and today I’d like to take the time to thank him, because if I’m here, it’s because of him too.”
