Brooke Norton-Cuffy has left Arsenal to hold a medical with his potential new club Genoa on Wednesday morning, according to a report.
Following the reports that Arsenal and Genoa had reached an agreement for the transfer of Brooke Norton-Cuffy, Fabrizio Romano now writes that the right-back left Arsenal to hold his medical tests at Genoa on Wednesday morning.
Romano also confirms the details of the deal, with the Gunners set to receive a €2m fixed fee, a potential further €2m in add-ons, as well as having a sell-on clause for a future sale.
That’s around £3.5m in total, excluding the sell-on clause, which fits with reports from elsewhere.
Norton-Cuffy spent last season on loan with Millwall in the Championship, playing 40 times, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
The defender was consistently in the Millwall starting lineup for the first half of the season, but he was generally used as a substitute from February onwards.
After his return from Millwall, Norton-Cuffy held back from participation with Arsenal in pre-season as he looked to secure a transfer elsewhere.
Assuming all goes well with the medical, that deal should now be done this week.
