Paris Saint-Germain could reignite their interest in Victor Osimhen this summer, with no bids materialising from the Premier League, according to a report.
L’Equipe report that despite previous claims to the contrary, Paris Saint-Germain haven’t given up on recruiting Victor Osimhen from Napoli this summer.
PSG are reportedly set to relaunch their attempt to sign Osimhen in the coming days, though they don’t intend to pay his €130m release clause.
L’Equipe add that Napoli have been waiting for offers from the Premier League, but none have arrived.
Napoli boss Antonio Conte previously suggested that the club and Osimhen have an “agreement” or “pact” on his future, hinting that it was out of his control.
Reports in June suggested Arsenal weren’t planning a bid, and despite plenty of links in the Italian media, the English media never really picked up the story.
As for PSG, David Ornstein reported in February that Osimhen featured prominently on their list of potential replacements for Kylian Mbappe.
It was L’Equipe that then suggested in June that PSG’s interest had cooled, but evidently it’s hotting up again.
Osimhen scored 17 goals and assisted four in 32 games this season amid a couple of injury setbacks and his month-long run to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations.
