Jakub Kiwior’s future at Arsenal is looking uncertain as conflicting reports emerge regarding a potential move to Inter Milan.

Despite being signed just 18 months ago for €19.5 million, the Polish defender could be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium this summer.

While some sources claim that Inter Milan is leading the chase for Kiwior, others suggest that no formal approach has been made. Arsenal’s stance on the transfer is also unclear, with reports indicating they are open to a permanent move or a loan with a mandatory purchase clause.

Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior is said to be considering an offer from Inter Milan as the club appear open to selling the player they only purchased 18 months ago

Reports, however, are contradictory.

Arsenal paid €19.5m for Jakub Kiwior in January 2023, signing a player who came with a big reputation amongst those he had played with, particularly his national teammate, Robert Lewandowski.

While AC Milan have been consistently linked with the defender who has made 38 appearances for Arsenal, the club were always reported to be averse to his sale.

That seems to have changed.

Multiple outlets in Italy, along with Fabrizio Romano, are under the impression that the 24-year-old is on the market this summer, particularly with the imminent arrival of Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan, not their rivals, are the club leading the chase with Kiwior said to have signalled his availability for a move.

Romano, however, reports that “Arsenal have not received any approach from Inter for Jakub Kiwior, nothing agreed even on player side.” He goes on to say, “Kiwior remains available on the market but Arsenal now want permanent move or loan with mandatory clause.”

Arsenal are said to be asking €25m for Kiwior while Inter are believed to be interested in loan with an option to buy, rather than an obligation, at a much cheaper rate.
