Arsenal are guaranteed to sign a goalkeeper this summer as a backup to David Raya, according to a report.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Arsenal will “100%” bring in a new backup goalkeeper this summer, amid doubts around Aaron Ramsdale’s future.
On Wojciech Szczesny, who has been linked with a return to Arsenal this week, Romano writes that the goalkeeper hasn’t clarified his situation with Juventus yet.
The journalist adds that there hasn’t been anything concrete in terms of a departure for Szczesny or the signing of potential Juventus replacement goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio.
So it could possibly be one to watch, but nothing is happening yet.

Simon Collings reported for The Standard earlier this week that Arsenal are considering a surprise move to re-sign Szczesny.
The goalkeeper would be homegrown, and Collings suggested Juventus are looking to sell a goalkeeper this summer.
But Szczesny’s high wage demands would be problematic and there’s the question of whether he’d actually want to play a backup role for Arsenal.
Perhaps he’d be more willing to play a backup role as a 34-year-old goalkeeper than he was at 27, but there are no guarantees. He’ll have his international spot to think about on top of his club football.

Arsenal have a couple of alternatives on their shortlist. The Standard claim the Gunners could target 33-year-old Jason Steele of Brighton, or 22-year-old Diant Ramaj of Ajax.
Whichever goalkeeper they end up pursuing, Romano seems convinced they’ll bring someone in before the summer window ends.
