Arsenal-linked Wolves winger Pedro Neto has suffered another injury setback, and his summer valuation already seems to be decreasing.

Two weeks ago, Pedro Neto suffered an injury scare that cast further doubt on his fitness, but the winger initially appeared to overcome the concern to start against Fulham.

It didn’t last, with Neto coming off with a hamstring injury after just 45 minutes.

This time around, it seemed like more than just a scare, with the player pulling up and clutching at his leg.

Reports had suggested that Neto would have an £80m valuation this summer, but that figure already appears to be dropping, with The Telegraph writing last Saturday that his fee is now “set to be upward of £60 million”.

The Telegraph add that Manchester City and Liverpool are interested, which seemingly casts further doubt on an Arsenal move.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein recently reported that Arsenal want to bring in competition in the wide attacking area this summer, and Neto remains of interest.

But Ornstein added that it’s unlikely Arsenal would pay Wolves’ asking price of £80m for a player with a dodgy injury record.

Even with the drop to £60m, it may still be too much of a risk.

The winger has three goals and 11 assists in 23 appearances for Wolves this season, a goal or assist every 123 minutes.

But Arsenal have other names on their shortlist, so they may well decide to look elsewhere in light of Neto’s continuing fitness uncertainty.
