With the February fixtures coming to an end, WhoScored have revealed their Premier League Team of the Month, with Arsenal featuring heavily in the side.

Mikel Arteta’s side won four games from four in the Premier League in February, earning him a nomination for Manager of the Month and the team are also seeing the recognition for their performances now.

The four Arsenal players included in the team are Bukayo Saka (8.38 rating), Martin Odegaard (8.11), Declan Rice (8.02), and Jakub Kiwior (7.42).

Saka has also been nominated for the Premier League’s Player of the Month award, Arsenal’s Player of the Month award, and the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award, and he has the highest average rating in the WhoScored team.

With six goals in four games, Saka has earned all of those nominations and inclusions.

Rice and Odegaard were both nominated for Arsenal’s Player of the Month award as well, and Rice was also put up for the Premier League’s Goal of the Month award.

But Kiwior hasn’t been given much recognition outside of the WhoScored team, and perhaps he deserves it.

The centre-back has stepped into a left-back role very effectively over the last month, ensuring Arsenal haven’t missed Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Arsenal defeated league leaders Liverpool 3-1 to kick off February, before winning 6-0 away to West Ham United, 5-0 away to Burnley, and 4-1 at home to Newcastle United to cap things off.

The one disappointment came outside of the Premier League, with Arsenal losing 1-0 to FC Porto in their Champions League last-16 first leg.

The aim in March will be to keep the strong Premier League performances coming, before turning that Champions League tie around in the final game before the international break.
