The race to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto is heating up.

Reports suggest Arsenal and Liverpool are among several clubs vying for the Portuguese star, but Wolves are holding their cards close regarding his valuation.

Arsenal are set to be joined by Liverpool and a number of other clubs in the race to sign Pedro Neto this summer, according to a report.

Fabrizio Romano reported in his Daily Briefing that Pedro Neto will be on the shortlist of many clubs this summer, including both Arsenal and Liverpool.

Wolves are reportedly refusing to give a price for the winger, delaying any such conversations until closer to the summer.

As a result, it’s no surprise that Romano adds that no one club is leading the race for Neto as it stands. If no one knows how much they’ll have to pay, it’s hard to commit to a deal.

John Cross recently reported for the Mirror that Neto was one of the wingers on Arsenal’s summer shortlist, alongside Athletic Club’s Nico Williams.

The Gunners have long been linked with a move for Neto, and perhaps this summer will finally see bids go in for the Portuguese international.

The Athletic had reported in December that Arsenal were still interested in the Wolves winger, though they weren’t prioritising a January deal.

That turned out to be the case, with the club choosing not to bring anyone in during the winter window.

Neto has had various injury problems in recent years, including hamstring injuries this season, a problem that struck again this weekend against Fulham:

The winger still has three goals and 110 assists in his 22 appearances in the Premier League and FA Cup this campaign.
