Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri are two of Arsenal’s biggest talents in the academy at the moment, with the midfielders consistently impressing for club and country at youth level.

The two players have been at Arsenal for a number of years now, joining the Gunners before they were even 10 years old.

But before that, Lewis-Skelly has revealed that the duo actually played for London rivals Chelsea.

“Before I joined Arsenal, I knew Ethan Nwaneri because we were at Chelsea together,” Lewis-Skelly told the Arsenal website. “We’ve kind of gone up the ranks together.”

Despite their links to the Blues, Lewis-Skelly confirms that he’s “always been an Arsenal supporter”, and he’s got his family into supporting the team as well.

Nwaneri is in a similar position, as a lifelong Arsenal fan who grew up in Islington.

Arsenal were clearly a little slower off the mark than Chelsea with regards to the youngsters, so both of them ended up on the wrong side of London despite their support for the Gunners.

But it didn’t take long to rectify that, and they’ve both now been at Arsenal throughout their teenage years.
