A little over a week after his first start for over eight months, Arsenal loanee Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand was in the starting lineup for FC Den Bosch once again on Friday.

There had been some fears of another injury setback for the midfielder last week, after he played 61 minutes of their cup match but missed their subsequent league game against Jong FC Utrecht last Saturday.

Fortunately, it seems Den Bosch were simply being cautious with Oulad M’Hand after such a long injury rehabilitation, and he was back in the starting lineup against FC Emmen on Friday night.

Though Oulad M’Hand didn’t complete the full 90, he came as close as he’s come for a long time, playing 88 minutes before his eventual substitution – which didn’t appear to be injury-related.

The midfielder was particularly effective for his team on the defensive end, making a game-high five interceptions, but he also created one chance at the other end.

Den Bosch are next in action next Friday, November 17th, at 17:45 GMT.

Oulad M’Hand moved on loan to FC Den Bosch over the summer, but at the time he was still carrying an injury from last season.

The Dutch second-tier side decided to take a risk on the 20-year-old anyway, and they’ve helped to nurse him back to fitness over the last couple of months.

The former Dutch u17 international made his return to training in late September, before making a cameo appearance against FC Groningen at the end of the month.

Oulad M’Hand went on to make three further substitute appearances, before finally returning to the starting lineup last Wednesday.
