Arsenal 20-year-old Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand has had real trouble with injuries in recent seasons, hampering his development.

The young midfielder went out on loan to Hull City in 2022/23, but he failed to make any appearances due to injury, and Arsenal made the decision to recall him in January.

Even then, the former Feyenoord man only made one Premier League 2 appearance between his recall and the end of the campaign.

Oulad M’Hand was still working on his recovery towards the end of the summer transfer window, but Arsenal managed to secure him another loan move to FC Den Bosch as he went through the final stages of that rehabilitation process.

The former Dutch u17 international made his return to training in late September, before making a cameo appearance against FC Groningen at the end of the month.

Oulad M’Hand has since made two further substitute appearances, playing against Willem II in mid-October before playing over half an hour against VVV-Venlo on Friday.

It’s now been 19 months since Oulad M’Hand played more than 45 minutes in a match, but he’s getting closer to finally hitting that mark.

Sadly for Den Bosch, they were already 2-1 down when Oulad M’Hand entered the contest, and they failed to turn that scoreline around in the dying minutes.

They weren’t helped by a red card to former Gunner Gedion Zelalem, playing most of that final half hour with 10 men.
