Eddie Nketiah is the latest player to join Arsenal’s injury list, with the striker nursing a knock ahead of Wednesday’s game against Sevilla.

Arsenal could be without Eddie Nketiah as they take on Sevilla on Wednesday night, with the striker reportedly nursing a knock from the weekend’s clash with Newcastle United.

Mark Mann-Bryans and Simon Collings report that Nketiah isn’t in training with Arsenal ahead of the game, after suffering a knock against Newcastle.

The striker hasn’t been completely ruled out of the Champions League clash just yet, but he’s facing a late fitness test for the game.

Arsenal have various options up front if Nketiah is out, despite Gabriel Jesus’ continued absence.

Kai Havertz can move into the centre-forward position as he has on a few occasions already this season, or Leandro Trossard could come into the side.

In other news, Martin Odegaard also hasn’t returned to training just yet.

Arteta wasn’t ruling the Norwegian international out in his Tuesday press conference, but if he’s not involved in training then a return on Wednesday seems unlikely.

Perhaps Trossard is therefore the more likely player to start up front, given the injuries in Arsenal’s midfield.

If Odegaard is out, Havertz may well end up playing as the team’s right-central-midfielder, as he did against Newcastle.
