After the game on Sunday, Arsenal held talks with Belgium over Leandro Trossard, following his hamstring injury against Manchester City.

Subsequently, Trossard has withdrawn from the Belgian national team due to the injury.

The Belgium national team announced: ‘Leandro Trossard is not fit to join the squad at the Proximus Basecamp on Monday.’

Royal Antwerp midfielder Arthur Vermeeren will replace the 28-year-old in Domenico Tedesco’s side.

The Arsenal winger was substituted at half-time during the club’s win over Manchester City, and it has now been confirmed that he won’t be available for Belgium’s upcoming European Championship qualifying matches against Austria and Sweden.

He was substituted at half-time and replaced by match-winner Gabriel Martinelli.

Mikel Arteta confirmed that Trossard “felt something in his hamstring,” and he clearly felt enough to warrant dropping out of international duty.

Arsenal will oversee Trossard’s recovery during the international break, with the hope of having him fit for their next Premier League match against Chelsea on October 21.
