Galatasaray player Sacha Boey has never been close to a move to Arsenal and there are no talks on for a transfer, according to a report.

Not for the first time, Sacha Boey has been linked with a move to Arsenal this week. There have been rumours of a potential Gunners move throughout 2023, and this is just the latest instance of that.

But Fabrizio Romano has strongly refuted the reports. Romano writes that Boey has never been close to a move, and there are no negotiations at this stage.

Galatasaray consider Boey a key player, already setting his price at around €30m in the summer.

Romano adds that the links have been circling since the player joined Stellar agency in the summer, but there’s nothing substantial in them.

Reports from Turkey over the summer suggested that Arsenal had submitted a bid for Boey, but those reports were subsequently roundly denied.

Most notably, Galatasaray director Cenk Ergun publicly spoke out to shoot down the claims.

“There are currently no official offers for Sacha Boey,” Ergun told Radyospor (via talkSPORT), and that was seemingly the end of it.

Boey made 33 appearances for Galatasaray last season, and he’s already made 17 appearances for the side this campaign.

A former France u20 international, the 23-year-old has a contract with his current club until 2025.
