Jorginho’s agent has once again spoken out to deny reports linking his client with an exit from Arsenal this summer, after rumours of a move to Fenerbahce.

Over the weekend, reporters in Turkey including Arda Birben claimed Fenerbahce were showing an interest in Jorginho.

The Turkish transfer window doesn’t close until Friday, September 15th, so Fenerbahce are still able to sign the Arsenal midfielder until then.

But they aren’t going to, according to the player’s agent.

“Jorginho is focused on Arsenal, therefore on the Premier League and the Champions League,” Joao Santos told TMW. “He won’t go to Fenerbahce.”

This is the third time Santos or Jorginho have had to confirm that the player is staying at Arsenal this season.

In early August, Jorginho was linked with a move to Italy, but Santos shut the reports down.

“I’m sure, Jorginho will stay at Arsenal. He’s happy in England. Let’s move on,” Santos said then.

“I had some calls from Saudi and also Spanish clubs like him but he’s staying at Arsenal, it’s decided.”

Before that, Jorginho himself had also said something similar to the media.

“I’m very happy to stay at Arsenal, to be honest,” Jorginho said in July.

“Those rumours, I’m not sure who was behind it, to be honest, but nothing at the moment has happened to me. I’m quite happy where I am.

“I hope we can do even better next year. It’s been a while [since Arsenal have been in the Champions League]. Everyone is very excited. Everyone can’t wait to play with the ball with the stars. It’s going to be an exciting season for sure.”

Jorginho probably hasn’t had as many minutes as he might have wanted this season so far, but that’s likely to change in the wake of Thomas Partey’s injury and the start of the Champions League and the League Cup.

Arsenal are going to have more games to deal with and fewer players to feature in them, making Jorginho’s involvement more likely in the coming weeks and months.
