FootballTransfers report that Chelsea and Manchester City are interested in Amario Cozier-Duberry, and Arsenal are in talks over a new deal for the young winger to “snuff out” that interest.

Simon Collings recently reported for the Evening Standard that Arsenal were planning new contract talks with Cozier-Duberry, who is now reportedly in the final year of his contract with the club.

From overseas, Sparta Rotterdam, PSV Eindhoven, and Vitesse Arnhem are among the clubs monitoring Cozier-Duberry’s situation from the Netherlands, with Belgian side Gent also interested.

At the time, reports suggested that Cozier-Duberry was happy at Arsenal and highly rated by the club, after joining them on the tour of the USA over the summer.

There was some talk of a loan move after that, but the 18-year-old has remained with Arsenal’s u21 side instead, making six appearances so far.

The Gunners signed Cozier-Duberry up to a professional contract as soon as he was eligible, back in the summer of 2022.

But any first pro deal has its length capped by FIFA regulations, hence why his contract is already an issue again.

Now that the teenager is 18, he could sign a new longer-term deal lasting five years or more, if that’s what he and Arsenal want.

With talks set to begin soon, we should find out the two parties’ intentions before long.
