The Italian international moved from Chelsea only five months ago and is already facing speculation over his future.

Jorginho committed to Arsenal amidst Lazio interest

Italian international and Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has affirmed his commitment to the club, despite attracting interest from Serie A side Lazio.

The former Chelsea player has been at the heart of transfer speculation recently, but it appears he’s staying put.

Jorginho moved to Arsenal in January, in what was a surprise switch from Chelsea.

His impressive performances have caught the eye of several Italian clubs, including Napoli and AC Milan, but the midfielder seems focused on his Arsenal career.

Arsenal are contemplating an overhaul in their midfield this summer.

The Gunners are keen to bring in West Ham’s Declan Rice, while Thomas Partey may be heading to Saudi Arabia and Granit Xhaka is expected to join Bayer Leverkusen.

Despite these potential changes, Jorginho believes he has a crucial role to play in Mikel Arteta’s plans.

Jorginho isn’t guaranteed a starting spot in Arteta’s lineup, especially with the potential arrival of Declan Rice.

However, he’s shown dedication and tenacity, characteristics that could ensure him plenty of playtime, especially with Arsenal competing in the Champions League next season.

Jorginho has already made 16 appearances for Arsenal and managed to establish himself ahead of Thomas Partey in the pecking order towards the end of last season.

Prior to his time in English football with Chelsea, Jorginho played in Italy for Hellas Verona and Napoli. But now, with two years remaining on his current contract at Arsenal, the Italy international seems eager to continue his journey in English football.
