Runar Alex Runarsson picked up a head injury in his most recent appearance for Alanyaspor, but his manager is staying optimistic.
Playing for Alanyaspor against Adana Demirspor at the weekend, Arsenal loanee Runar Alex Runarsson lasted just 35 minutes before being forced off with a head injury.
Alanyaspor boss Omer Erdogan assessed the situation after the game.
“Unfortunately, after an unfortunate collision, he had some troubles with his head,” Erdogan said. “I can give more precise information after the tomography is taken, but the situation inside is good at the moment. There is some dizziness.
“Hopefully, he will join us in a healthy way as soon as possible.”
It would be a shame for Runarsson to miss the end of Alanyaspor’s season, as he’s played such a big part of it in the campaign so far.
The Iceland international is up to 30 appearances in all competitions, only failing to start two of Alanyaspor’s fixtures since his debut in late August.
Alanyaspor have four games left, as they look to secure a top-half finish in the Super Lig.
The highlights of Runarsson’s spell so far have been the assist he provided in December, and the five clean sheets he’s kept.
As well as playing for Alanyaspor, Runarsson has continued to feature on occasion for Iceland, making five appearances since September and keeping three clean sheets.
