The transfer rumour mill is spinning, and this time it has connected Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers to Palmeiras’ attacking midfielder, Raphael Veiga. The 27-year-old Brazilian is reportedly drawing interest from both Premier League clubs as they look to bolster their squads for the upcoming season.

According to Goal Brazil, Arsenal, Chelsea, Fulham, and Wolves have all been in contact with Veiga’s representatives, attempting to gauge his situation at the Brazilian club.

However, no formal bids have been submitted at this stage, with clubs merely gathering information and keeping an eye on any potential developments.

Palmeiras are not actively looking to sell their star player, who has been with the club since 2017 and has a contract running until 2026. Veiga has amassed over 200 appearances for Palmeiras, securing numerous trophies including two Copa Libertadores, a Brasileiro Serie A title, a Copa do Brasil, two Campeonato Paulista titles, and two Super Cups.

iG Esporte reports that Wolves have been monitoring Veiga for some time, and manager Julen Lopetegui is said to have approached the player’s entourage about what would be needed to bring him to England in the summer. Wolves are reportedly considering a formal proposal for the Brazilian in the coming months.

While Arsenal’s interest in Veiga is no secret, having made contact a couple of months ago, they have yet to make a bid for the player.

With both clubs vying for the talented midfielder, it remains to be seen where Veiga’s future lies, whether he’ll make a move to Europe or stay with Palmeiras.
