Arsenal have contacted Raphael Veiga’s camp to establish his current situation at Palmeiras, but they haven’t submitted a bid for him yet.

After links to Spanish footballer Gabri Veiga in recent days, reports are now emerging connecting Arsenal to Brazilian 27-year-old Raphael Veiga – no relation.
Goal report that Arsenal, Chelsea, Fulham, and Wolverhampton Wanderers have all made contact with Raphael Veiga’s camp, trying to establish his situation at Palmeiras.
But none of the listed clubs have yet made a bid for the player. They’re simply collecting information and monitoring the situation as it stands, with the possibility of a formal offer in the summer.
Palmeiras aren’t currently considering a sale, so any potential valuation would be guesswork.
Veiga has a contract with the club until 2026 having played for them since 2017, so they’re hoping to keep him for a while longer yet.

Veiga has made over 200 appearances for Palmeiras, winning plenty of trophies along the way. He’s won the Copa Libertadores (twice), the Brasileiro Serie A, the Copa do Brasil, the Campeonato Paulista (twice), as well as a couple of Super Cup successes.
Perhaps he might consider moving on to Europe for the next stage of his career, but we’re a long way off that decision at this stage.
