Newcastle United are preparing an offer for Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby, reportedly one of Arsenal’s key summer targets.
Sport Bild (via GGFN) report that Newcastle United are preparing an offer for Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby, and it’s possible the Bundesliga club could sell Diaby if the right bid comes in.
Bayer Leverkusen are expecting to receive a fee in excess of €60m (£52m) to part ways with the winger.
The Telegraph recently reported that they understand Arsenal are among the clubs to have registered an interest in Diaby ahead of the summer transfer window.
That followed a report from the Daily Mail that Diaby is one of Arsenal’s key targets, with Mikel Arteta looking to add a versatile attacker to his squad if possible.
Diaby is reportedly the primary target for that position, though the club are also considering a free transfer move for Wilfried Zaha.
But it looks like Newcastle are set to make the first move for the former PSG man.
Diaby is under contract until 2025, and he has 14 goals and 11 assists this season, bringing him to 49 goals and 48 assists in 167 games for Bayer Leverkusen overall.
The 23-year-old is also a France international, and he can play on either wing.
