The Telegraph report that they understand Arsenal are among the clubs to have registered an interest in Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby ahead of the summer transfer window.

This follows a report from the Daily Mail earlier in the week that Diaby is one of Arsenal’s key targets, with Mikel Arteta looking to add a versatile attacker to his squad if possible.

Diaby is reportedly the primary target for that position, though the club are also considering a free transfer move for Wilfried Zaha.

The Gunners are clearly not the only club in the race, and Arsenal’s weekend opponents Newcastle United are one of the other teams to show an interest.

The Northern Echo claimed in March that Newcastle were lining up a potential club-record summer move for the player.

Back in January, Patrick Berger of German outlet SPORT1 reported that Arsenal looking at Diaby after the collapse of their deal for Mykhaylo Mudryk. It didn’t happen then, but perhaps it might this summer.

Diaby is under contract until 2025, and he has 14 goals and 11 assists this season, bringing him to 49 goals and 48 assists in 167 games for Bayer Leverkusen overall.

The 23-year-old is also a France international, and he can play on either wing.
