Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has revealed his dream of becoming a coach in the English Premier League after his playing career, citing Liverpool’s star winger Mohamed Salah as a source of inspiration.

Elneny’s coaching ambitions

The Egyptian international sees coaching as the next step after his playing days are over.

Praise for Mohamed Salah

Elneny also praised his fellow countryman and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, calling him an Egyptian and Arab legend.

He emphasised that Salah’s achievements in the Premier League are a source of pride for all Arabs.

“Lionel Messi is my favorite player. Salah is an Egyptian and Arab legend and all are proud of his achievements in the Premier League,” Elneny said.

He also added, randomly, “I hope that Manchester City will win the UEFA Champions League title this season.”

Elneny’s Arsenal journey

During his seven-year tenure with Arsenal, Elneny has made 155 appearances, scoring six goals and assisting 10 times.

The 30-year-old recently signed a new contract extending his stay with the Gunners until 2024.

Elneny’s father believes that his son will eventually become a coach at Arsenal, although it’s unclear whether he envisions a head coach role.
