Runar Alex Runarsson has had a great weekend so far, keeping a clean sheet and then travelling to watch Arsenal win at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal loanee Runar Alex Runarsson started his weekend with a game against Turkish Super Lig side Basaksehir on Friday night, a tough match against a side chasing European football.

Alanyaspor’s task was made even more difficult by a second-half red card, but they nonetheless managed to come through the game with a clean sheet and a 1-0 victory.

Runarsson certainly played his part, making four saves and being named FotMob’s Player of the Match.

The goalkeeper even created a chance at the other end, not too long after his recent assist for Alanyaspor. He’s now made 23 appearances for the club in a busy loan spell so far.

But with a nine-day break between matches, Runarsson took the opportunity to return to London on Saturday, sitting in the stands to watch Arsenal’s match against Bournemouth.

Posting on his Instagram story before the game, Runarsson shared his view of the pitch, captioned with red and white heart emojis.

The goalkeeper could hardly have picked a better game to come back for a visit, with Reiss Nelson’s late winner arguably the moment of the season so far.

We hope he enjoyed his trip back to London and he makes it consecutive clean sheets for Alanyaspor this weekend.
