Arsenal have named their four nominees for the January Player of the Month award, after three wins, one draw, and one defeat to kick off 2023.
Arsenal confirmed their nominees for the club Player of the Month award on Thursday, with Martin Odegaard, Eddie Nketiah, Aaron Ramsdale, and Oleksandr Zinchenko making the cut.
Though he won the Premier League Player of the Month award for November/December, Odegaard is yet to win the Arsenal award this season, but he’s up for it again for January.
Odegaard primarily featured in the league games last month, scoring against Spurs and providing an assist against Manchester United, whilst only playing 16 minutes of the two FA Cup ties.
Nketiah played 90 minutes of all five games, scoring four goals, including the vital winner over Manchester United.
Ramsdale won the Man of the Match award against Tottenham Hotspur and kept a clean sheet against Newcastle United as well in his three appearances in goal for the Gunners.
Lastly, Zinchenko was influential in Arsenal’s wins over Spurs and United as he made his comeback to full fitness in January, also featuring off the bench against Oxford United and Manchester City in the cup.
