Juventus want to sign Bukayo Saka from Arsenal, according to one of the more amusing stories coming out of Italy on Sunday morning.

TuttoJuve report that Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri would like to buy Bukayo Saka from Arsenal, dreaming of bringing him to Italy.

The suggestion is that Juventus could offer Dusan Vlahovic to Arsenal for Saka, possibly in the summer window, though TuttoJuve admit there’s no chance of the Gunners selling the winger in January.

It’s not hard to believe that Juventus might be interested in Saka, and that they might consider letting Vlahovic leave.

After all, Saka is one of the top-performing players in the table-topping team of the best league in the world. Most clubs in world football would probably happily add him to their ranks.

Meanwhile, Vlahovic is yet to fully win Juventus over despite scoring a fair few goals.

Juventus won all four of their league games in Vlahovic’s injury absence ahead of the World Cup. They didn’t seem to struggle without him, and probably wouldn’t mind letting him go to land a top talent like Saka.

But there’s no reason why Arsenal would come to the table for this deal, considering they’re keen to keep Saka and aren’t pursuing Vlahovic anymore.

The Arsenal fans certainly wouldn’t want to see Saka used as a bargaining chip, as they have a great relationship with the young winger.

Speaking after Saturday’s win over Brighton, Saka thanked the supporters for their continued commitment to backing the Gunners.

“I want to thank the fans,” Saka said. “Even today, you can see their support and them coming out on New Year’s Eve.

“They’re probably not going to get home until the New Year so they might miss that and their families, but it shows that Arsenal means everything to them, and it means everything to us, so let’s just continue to keep doing this.”
