Arsenal have been following 20-year-old Montpellier centre-forward Elye Wahi for several months now, and he’s reportedly very popular with the Gunners.

The Gunners aren’t yet planning to make an offer, but a summer exit reportedly seems “more than possible” for Wahi.
Other than Jamal Musiala (18) and Arsenal’s own Bukayo Saka (20), no under-21 player recorded more goals and assists in Europe’s top-five leagues than Wahi (15) in 2022.
The striker is making his breakthrough at a very young age, becoming just the second player in the last 40 years to score 20 goals in Ligue 1 before turning 20.
The first was of course Kylian Mbappe, who did it by the age of 18 and 10 months. But Mbappe is often in a league of his own.

As well as playing for Montpellier, Wahi is a France u21 international, scoring once in 76 minutes for the side.

This isn’t the first time Arsenal have been linked with Wahi, with rumours connecting the two since early 2021.
