Jack Grealish says Gabriel Jesus is one of the most underrated players in football, even if he’s starting to get some credit now.

Leaving Manchester City for Arsenal during the summer, Gabriel Jesus has certainly made an impact at his new club.

With 10 goal contributions in his first 14 Premier League games for the Gunners, Jesus has helped lead Mikel Arteta’s side to the top of the Premier League table.

He subsequently earned a call-up from Brazil for the World Cup, where he unfortunately picked up a knee injury that will rule him out for around three months.

Yet, despite some recent recognition, Jack Grealish thinks Jesus remains undervalued.

Grealish mentioned his former teammate when asked by Athletic Club Momento for his top-five underrated players.

“Ask anyone that’s played with [Gabriel Jesus] – I know he’s getting more recognition now, but he’s the main man,” Grealish said.

“In training, honestly… He was frightening. I spoke to [Bukayo] Saka last month and he was like ‘Jack, he’s unbelievable’.

“Jesus’ play is just this mix of proper rawness and skill, he’s a lovely guy but he’s so hungry and aggressive when he plays.”
