Arsenal continue to be linked with Yunus Musah, the American midfielder who now plays for Valencia.

Yunus Musah impressed at the World Cup in Qatar for the USMNT and, as such, has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Arsenal have apparently been scouting the player they once owned, but they are not alone. Liverpool are also said to be interested, as are Inter Milan.

And it is in Inter Milan’s interest in Musah that we find the latest update about Arsenal.

It claims that Arsenal have already had an offer turned down for the 20-year-old with his club deeming it ‘too low’.

Musah is under contract until 2026 with a release clause of €100m and a market value of around €20m. Valencia are, however, apparently happy to let Musah leave on loan in a deal with a buying option, such is their need for cash.

Speaking recently about a possible return to north London, where he played in the academy until 2019, Musah didn’t rule anything out.

“You never know,” he said.

“I had a great time at Arsenal developing there, I still have friends there, the coaches were great, being an Arsenal player in general is great.

“I loved playing for Arsenal. I’ve nothing against the club and if one day it turns out to be that it’s time to go back then it’s possible.

“For now, I’m really happy at Valencia and I’m looking forward to carrying this season on in the same way we’re doing now.”

Also speaking before England’s game against the United States, Jack Wilshere admitted the club were not happy to lose Musah.

“My assistant coach with the Arsenal Under-18s, Adam Birchall, always tells me what a good player he was in our academy — and how they were disappointed to lose him,” Wilshere admitted.

“But that’s life.

“We’re delighted that our academy has turned out such a talented player and wish him all the best, though perhaps he can take it easy tonight!”
