Arsenal have been linked with a move for Shakhtar Donetsk’s winger Mykhaylo Mudryk with a variety of prices being claimed in the media and now they are apparently ‘preparing’ an offer for him.

Arsenal would like to reinforce three positions this summer and a winger is one of them.

Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk has seemingly topped that list for a while now and journalist Nicolò Schira claims that the Gunners are preparing a bid of ‘around €50m-€60m in order to try and convince the Ukrainians to sell him in January.

Arsenal are also said to be considering a move for Bayer Leverkusen’s winger, Moussa Diaby, should Shakhtar prove impossible to shift.

The 23-year-old left winger has four goals and four assists in 19 games, so not quite as productive as Mudryk who has seven goals and seven assists in 13 games this season.

Diaby moved to Germany from PSG in 2019 for €15m and is currently valued at around €60m according to transfermarkt.

His contract runs until 2025, so there is little chance of Arsenal striking a bargain here, either. And, as we know, January deals usually come with a premium as clubs try to resist losing players in the middle of the season.

It’s also worth noting that in late August, some in the media were claiming Arsenal were considering a move for Moussa Diaby should they fail to sign Pedro Neto.
