Arsenal included a number of youth players in their first-team session again on Wednesday, ahead of their match against PSV Eindhoven.

Arsenal held their final pre-PSV training session on Wednesday, and a number of youth players were involved.

It was certainly no surprise to see Khayon Edwards and Catalin Cirjan taking part in the session. We previously reported that Edwards is set to feature in Thursday’s squad, and Cirjan is a safe bet after his recent Europa League bench appearances.

Another interesting call-up to the session was Joel Ideho, who is eligible to be added to Arsenal’s squad if they choose.

Ideho was ineligible for the first couple of group games because he hadn’t been at the club long enough to make List B, and there wasn’t any space in Arsenal’s main squad. But he’s now hit the two-year minimum threshold for List B.

With Gabriel Martinelli’s fitness situation unclear, Ideho could make a good alternative on the bench on Thursday.

Ethan Nwaneri and Maldini Kacurri also joined Wednesday’s session, but neither of them will be in the Europa League squad.

Nwaneri is still too young, as you have to be 16 to play in the Europa League. Whilst Kacurri is in the same situation as Ideho was previously, as he hasn’t been at the club long enough to join Arsenal’s List B.

It’s likely we’ll see at least one of Cirjan and Ideho joining Edwards in the squad on Thursday, but as always, all five players will have taken something from competing with the senior squad in training this week.
